Philosophical Methodology is a book addressed to the entire philosophical community. It develops a novel account of the structure and goals of inquiry, offers the first systematic discussion of philosophical data, and assesses extant philosophical methods. Introducing a new method for doing philosophy, it positions theorists to better understand their topics while also revealing how philosophy can continue to make progress in answering its foremost questions.

He is the author of numerous articles on a wide range of topics in epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of action, and moral philosophy. Terence Cuneo is Marsh Professor of Intellectual and Moral Philosophy at the University of Vermont. He is the author of six books, as well as the editor of numerous others. He works primarily in the areas of moral philosophy, history of modern philosophy, and philosophy of religion. Russ Shafer-Landau is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
