Set in Paris, a non-conformist new Ambassador is out to carve a legacy of his own after his wealthy family has disowned him. An unrepentant drinker, even during heavy political tension that includes a nuclear deal and a refugee crisis, he is soon caught in the middle between the government he represents and the one he has to deal with. His troubles are magnified when introduced to a married woman at a party whom he believes is his past love.
