Why this Book? Why Now? What does this book offer that hundreds of others don't? The origins of this book were back in 1964, when Wes was playing Little League baseball for the Groves Realty Little League team (you remember; the orange team) in Groves Texas Groves is a small town in Southeast Texas sandwiched between Port Arthur, Orange and Beaumont, in what is known as the Golden Triangle. This is oilfield country Most of the employment was in the many major refineries, and most young boys aspirations were to work in one of the "good paying" oil refinery jobs starting right after high school and continuing until retirement or death, whichever came first. When the All-Star Little League baseball season was over in late July, Wes went to Mr. Booth, an "elderly" white haired gentleman of 50 or so that owned Groves Realty, and asked Mr. Booth if he could sell real estate for him prior to school starting. Even at 12 years old, Wes knew he would be involved in some facet of real estate for his livelihood. Unfortunately, he had to wait a few years to become involved-and he did He knew he would never work in an oil refinery.
