In this brief appendix to "The Sinister Universe", we demonstrate that there is one universal unit of charge, or one fundamental coupling constant responsible for all particle interactions. The fundamental universal coupling constant is the charge to rest mass ratio of the electron; e/m_e. We also demonstrate that the simultaneous measurement of the electron charge and mass is subject to the commutation relation q, m] = hbar/i.
