Antonia Cunningham was educated at England's Cambridge University, where she studied Languages and Art History. Following a short stint as a school tutor, she turned her hand to publishing, where she found her way into travel editing and writing. She has written several books, including non-fiction for children, two books on world art and the Impressionists, and five on Copenhagen and Denmark, including Insight's Smart Guide Copenhagen. Every time she visits this friendly, walkable city she finds something new and is always charmed by it. She lives in London with her partner Nick and son Benjamin, to both of whom she dedicates this book.Fran Parnell's passion for Scandinavia began while studying Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge University. She travels regularly in the region, and has written guides to Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Sweden. She loves Iron Age and Viking history, and is currently attempting to run a marathon in each Scandinavian capital.
