The Episcotape Letters: A series of satirical essays on the state of The Episcopal Church and their implications for the wider Anglican Commun (Paperback)
The Screwtape Letters written by the late C.S. Lewis has become a model for satire about the current state of the Anglican Communion, especially the Episcopal Church. In my own more modest attempts I have attempted to emulate the great Lewis with my own reflections on the state of The Episcopal Church through this literary device. I began writing them in 2004 and I continue to write them to this present day.I have chosen the names Teufel and Faust as the senior and junior devil in these letters. Teufel is a devil, a creature of hell, a demon, a fallen angel from German mythology. Faust is a charlatan who makes a pact with the Devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures.I have also added a number of miscellaneous essays at the conclusion of these Episcotape letters for your reading enjoyment.More of my writings on the Anglican Communion can be read here: www.virtueonline.org and on Facebook: https: //facebook.com/virtueonline.
